Respect yourself and give the same respect to everyone around you unconditionally.

“Beware the danger of surrendering your mind to the authority of others, for in doing so, you stifle your personal growth.”

I often observe people who view themselves as inferior to others, like spiritual masters, religious heads, leaders, and many more. This mindset leads our thoughts down a narrow one-way path, accepting everything they say as the ultimate truth without question or validation. This is a great disrespect to ourselves. Our minds absorb their words without hesitation, blindly conforming our lifestyles to fit their teachings. We never take a moment to contemplate or dare to question, even when something seems amiss. This approach prevents us from truly understanding the essence of their message, as we blindly adhere to it out of faith or fear. It hinders our growth, degrades our sense of self, and leaves us vulnerable.

“Respect yourself enough to never feel inferior, yet humble enough to seek wisdom from others.”

Instead, respect yourself and never see yourself as inferior to anyone, no matter who they are. This doesn’t mean arrogantly claiming to be equal to them and demanding the same level of respect. Rather, respect yourself just as you would respect a spiritual master or religious head. When you view yourself as equal to others, your mind opens up to a two-way path. It listens attentively and contemplates within, raising questions and seeking deeper understanding. This allows you to grasp the true essence of their teachings and digest them fully. It also gives you the freedom to ignore or discard any teachings that don’t make sense to you. This two-way communication empowers you to grow, reaching the level of mastery or even surpassing it. Most importantly, it fosters a deep respect for yourself.
