In a broad sense, there are two categories of families, and it is important not to judge them. There is no hierarchy or comparison between them, as everything is part of the process of evolution. Each individual needs different things to evolve, so it's essential to take what is necessary for yourself and allow others to take what is necessary for them.
"In a family of conformity, the true self finds no sanctuary."
The family members live together as a cohesive unit, adopting a similar lifestyle. Most of their rules and customs are usually passed down by their elders and society. When the entire family stands together in conforming to a way, they feel a strong sense of unity, love, and support, which is also appreciated by society. Elders appreciate it when their children follow their instructions praising them as obedient, but it leads to a generation of followers rather than innovators. This may also result in children never express themselves out of fear of elders when their thoughts differ from the defined way.
If everyone agrees with the generic rules, there won't be any issues. However, conflicts arise if someone has a different opinion. In such cases, the person with the different opinion must either convince others or suppress themselves to conform. The person with better management skills tends to win these arguments. It's not necessary that they choose what is best, but they usually try to uphold existing customs out of fear or faith in them, as well as the risk associated with new ones. Home should be a sanctuary for relaxation, but that's not the reality for someone who has to suppress their self for the reasons mentioned above.
Although there would be growth potential in this scenario, it would likely follow a more traditional path. This means individuals may find themselves doing what is asked of them rather than pursuing their true aspirations or expressing themselves naturally. However, they have the potential to be good employees. Unlike a rollercoaster ride, this growth journey would be more like a gradual upward slope, without many unpredictable ups and downs. To achieve this growth, individuals would need to put in a lot of effort, mostly dealing with repetitive tasks, be patient, and being willing to conform to the expectations of the entity they are working with.
"In a family of collaborators, freedom and love intertwine, fostering the birth of creators instead of followers."
Every member of the family would have different lifestyles, and there is no common code of conduct. Yet everyone collaborates with each other in pursuing their unique paths. They feel love and affection in the process of collaboration. Children, in fact, everyone has the freedom to think and come out with new ideas. Up course, there is always a possibility for something crazy to come out in full freedom and that is where elders would help them to correct. Point to note here is they are not enforcing but help them to choose with due logic and everyone has always freedom to express without any fears. Since the environment is open, any hidden issues will naturally surface, providing an opportunity to identify and rectify them at an early stage. This would lead to generation of creators than followers. There is no or at least less possibility for someone to be suppressed. The relationship within a family is akin to that of roommates, cantered on openness rather than conformity.
In this context, growth refers to the process of individuals expressing themselves, which has the potential to be exponential. However, it is crucial to acknowledge that there is a certain level of risk involved. Despite this, those who embark on this growth journey have the potential to become employers and exceptional leaders. They may not excel as employees since they cannot conform to someone else's vision, but instead, they live their vision to create something new.
"In the tapestry of life, no thread is inherently inferior or superior, for it is the collective contributions that weave the beauty of existence."
As I previously mentioned, there is no inherent inferiority or superiority among any paths. The world requires both employees and employers. It relies on the contributions of all to thrive. It is crucial to understand oneself and fulfil one's role. Furthermore, it is essential to value oneself and extend that same respect to those around us.
"Religions built on conformity crumble"
Religions often spoil the masses by promoting conformity. The more conformity there is, the more damage is done because people are not encouraged to think for themselves, but rather blindly follow. When individuals are not allowed to think critically and question, they cannot fully comprehend the teachings of their elders or the scriptures. As a result, religion becomes a mere formality. Ultimately, all formalities will disappear, indicating that religions that prohibit questioning and thinking are destined to vanish soon.
